Hyderabad: In the stateTelugu in all government and private schoolsThe government has focused on teaching Telugu as a subject. It has decided to strictly implement the law that made Telugu language mandatory for students. It has ordered that Telugu should be taught as a subject in all board schools from the academic year 2025-26, starting from class 1 to class 10. It has also been said that tests should be conducted on Telugu language for students .

A Telugu text book called 'Vennela'
Schools have been instructed to take steps to ensure that students learn Telugu . The education department officials have been advised to take appropriate supervision in this regard. In order to teach students in a simple manner and to develop their interest, a Telugu vocabulary book called 'Vennela' has been introduced as a syllabus for classes 9 and 10. School Education Department Secretary Dr. Yogita Rana issued a memo on Tuesday regarding its use. CM Revanth Reddy has ordered the managements of CBSE, ICSE and IB boards to conduct class 10 examinations based on this book.
From now on, Telugu will be mandatory as a second language.
Since the three-language principle is in effect until 8th, Telugu is being taught as a subject along with English and Hindi . In classes nine and ten, there are only two language subjects. One of them is English which is mandatory. The other is studying Hindi or another language. From now on, Telugu will have to be studied as a second language. The government has made it clear that Telugu will be made mandatory in class 9 next academic year and in class 10 the following year.
